Hammer Nutrition Round 3

THIS WEEKEND!

The final round of the Hammer Nutrition 4 Hour Enduros is on this Sunday 21st June 2015.

The venue is Craigburn Farm. The gate will be open, so parking is available track side. Make sure you park West (further down the road than the) of the first trail head – this avoids disturbing local residents.

Race starts at 9am with sign-on opening at 8am.

Volunteers required for this round:

  • BBQ cookers – if you can turn a snag that’s what we need. Ideally two people for this – 1 x cooker, 1 x money handler
  • Track pack up – the more, the merrier!

Sadly, the next episode of FatChat will not be available until after this race – the author is away for the next two weeks. I’m sure they’ll make something up to give this round some coverage though!

Hammer Nutrition R2 Results

Preliminary results are up for the second round of the Hammer Nutrition 4 hour enduros.

We had some issues with the transponders this time around, so make sure you check your results and make sure they’re accurate and represent your effort in these pristine MTB conditions. If you spot an error, email timing@ambc.asn.au. If you have a GPS file, send that through as well.

Hammer Nutrition 4 hr – Round 2

enduro 2015 poster horizontalThe next Hammer Nutrition 4 hour enduro is approaching – Sun 31st May.

Entries are open and available by clicking here. Links are also available on the Calendar page along with the rest of the AMBC MTB season. Registration will close at 10:am on Saturday 30th May. If you are struggling to get to an electronic device to register in the next week send a quick email (ironic?) to timing@ambc.asn.au or call the club phone.

The next round is set to be held at Prospect Hill – directions available here.

If you’re interested in lending a hand to your club on the day of the race, then let racevolunteers@ambc.asn.au know in advance so we can plan for it.

Free BBQ, drink, and transferable race entry for all volunteers.

We’re looking for people to help out with:

  • Track set up. This will occur from 09:30am Saturday 30th May. Contact racedirector@ambc.asn.au to register your interest.
  • Track pack up. Crucial. Unfortunately the arrows don’t decompose and we have to go around pick them all up. We’ve got scientists working on it, but for now it takes good old fashioned humans to go around and pick up the bunting/arrows.
  • Holding down the registration desk. The wind can be a bugger and the more people we have holding onto the paper the more people can sign on to the race and receive their race plate and transponder.

  1. The elite winter series table has been formed and is available on the results page.
  2. Chelsea has managed to print off another Fat Chat. Not sure where she found the time in the last four weeks, but it’s another cracker:

Hammer Nutrition Round 1 results

Hammer Nutrition 4 hr enduro round 3 results

Huge thanks to Darren and Carol Moore for letting us all romp around there backyard for the afternoon – this course is always fun and challenging.

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped prep the trail the previous weekend. Your help is greatly appreciated.

The next race is the first round of the Giant XCO series on 10th August at Eagle MTB Park – registration is open. All the info for the XCO series is available on the XCO series Page.
