Results are up on the website – click here to go to the results page

If you spot any errors or stray emus, let timing@ambc.asn.au know. They’ll be finalised at 6:00pm, Wednesday 24th June 2015.

The Elite points table has also been updated – make sure you check this – I’m prone to crunching numbers funny sometimes. If you spot an error email timing@ambc.asn.au.

Non-qualifiers for the series have been removed – Remember, you need to race in at least 2 x Hammer Nutrition 4 hour enduros and 2 x Giant XCOs to qualify.

Massive thanks to everyone who helped out today.

If you were wondering what that buzzing noise was, here’s a sneak of what was captured by Brett Caston and his drone –

AMBC would like to thank Hammer Nutrition for their ongoing support of the Enduro series. Check out their website for information pertaining to their product. Remember that AMBC members are entitled to 15% off all orders – check out the sponsor page for info.

The next race is the first round of the Giant Adelaide XCO series. Heading into the quarry of a place, Eagle MTB Park, you can be sure the next race will be fast and furious with a touch of lung busting fun!

The calendar page has links to the rest of this years races.

If you can’t wait until August to get your race on, the SRAM Gravity Enduro SA round 1, also sponsored by Giant Adelaide,  is on 28th June. Entries closing on 24th June @ 9:00pm – click here for rego. Click here for the GESA Website.

Port Adelaide Cycling Club also have 2 cyclocross events in July – 5th and 19th. They have an open grade that allows for MTBs and grades to suit everyone else. Check out the website for details – PACC Cyclocross page.

See you on the trails!

Hammer Nutrition Round 3

AMBC-Hammer-Series

THIS WEEKEND!

The final round of the Hammer Nutrition 4 Hour Enduros is on this Sunday 21st June 2015.

The venue is Craigburn Farm. The gate will be open, so parking is available track side. Make sure you park West (further down the road than the) of the first trail head – this avoids disturbing local residents.

Race starts at 9am with sign-on opening at 8am.

Online registration only, closes at 10:00am on Saturday 20th June 2015

Volunteers required for this round:

  • BBQ cookers – if you can turn a snag that’s what we need. Ideally two people for this – 1 x cooker, 1 x money handler
  • Track pack up – the more, the merrier!

If you can help out in any capacity send an email to info@ambc.asn.au (our Volunteers coordinator is on leave for this race).

Course map is:

and course marking will be happening at some point on Saturday.

Sadly, the next episode of FatChat will not be available until after this race – the author is away for the next two weeks. I’m sure they’ll make something up to give this round some coverage though!

2015 Australian Masters Games

AMBC is proud to announce that it will be hosting the MTB round of the Australian Masters Games. Details are:

Competition Dates: Saturday 10 October 2015

Venue: Craigburn Farm MTB Park, Craigburn Road, Craigburn

Age Groups: 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-69, 70+

This is a separate event to AMBCs Giant XCO Round 2 being held on 11th October.

Seriously, I’m looking at the array of sports on offer in these games and you can compete in Bocce, Futsal (I think that’s indoor soccer), parachuting (seriously!), ROLLER DERBY (OMG – dust of those roller skates – YES!) and probably my favourite – true grit (I’m pretty gritty)!

Age is determined by your age as of 31st December 2015. So if you’re in the lucky category like me – turning 30 in May – YOU’RE TOTALLY ELIGIBLE!

The official word from the guys over at Australian Masters Games:

Entries are now open for the 15th Australian Masters Games to be held in Adelaide this October.

The Games are a great excuse for a week away with friends, whilst enjoying the sport you love and a busy Games social program. Apart from meeting the minimum age requirement, in most sports there is no qualifying standard, so players of all levels and abilities are welcome.

New in 2015, the Airbnb Games Village will be hosted indoors in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD at the world-class Adelaide Convention Centre. The village will feature great food, drinks and nightly entertainment.

Stay tuned for further announcements, including the release of the exciting social program.

You can enter now by visiting www.AustralianMastersGames.com

By entering now during the Gold Entry window (closes Friday 1 May) you will receive a reduced Games entry fee of $99* and become a Gold Participant which entitles you to:

  • A special edition Games label pin
  • Distinct gold accreditation
  • Priority access at the Airbnb Games Village for accreditation collection.

You can help to recruit your team-mates by printing and posting at your club, workplace or venue, one of our eye-catching promotional posters. You can download a copy by visiting the sports information pages, click here

**IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GAMES, DIRECT THEM TO THE AUSTRALIAN MASTERS GAMES**
