Reminder – Hammer Nutrition Enduro Round 1

Don’t forget to register for the race by 10am Saturday!

The registration page had a slight glitch overnight, but all entries should be working now.

If you have any issues, send an email to timing@ambc.asn.au and we can sort out solutions.

Don’t forget to wind your clocks back at 3am on Sunday by an hour – you get an extra hour of sleep!

We are still looking for a parking marshal volunteer. We can even provide a high-vis vest (you still get a transferable race entry, sausage and drink as well!)! Contact racevolunteers@ambc.asn.au if you’re interested.

The club has printed a number of petition papers for the “A Metre Matters” campaign, for people to sign. They will be available at the registration/sign-on desk. More information is available on the Amy Gillett Foundation website.

Hammer Nutrition 4 hour Enduro – Round 1

Register now for the Hammer Nutrition XC Enduro Series Race 1 at Craigburn Farm, Sunday 6th of April 2014.

Registrations close online, the day prior at 10am. There will be no on the day registration. Please contact timing@ambc.asn.au if you have any issues with registration.

We are looking for volunteers for the following roles:

  • Two people to provide BBQ services,
  • One person for parking marshaling,
  • Two people to assist with track set-up on Saturday 5th April at 9am,
  • Two people to assist with registration – handing out race packs – the time keeper will handle any tricky questions,
  • Two people to provide assistance with track pack-up,

All volunteers receive a free, transferable race entry – this entry can be used for any grade and qualifies for the elite series entry – a BBQ’d delight and a refreshing beverage to wash it all down with. If you can assist, please email racevolunteers@ambc.asn.au to register your interest.

If any junior riders are interested in riding as a duo but don’t have a partner, please contact juniors@ambc.asn.au for information.

We have been approved to open the gate to allow parking near the start finish area – see the map below –

Race Report for 2013 Hammer Nutrition XC Enduro Race 2

The second round of the 2013 Hammer Nutrition XC Enduro 4-hour series was a success yesterday with 100 riders enjoying the Craigburn Farm Trails in their respective categories. Mother nature provided some rain in the lead up to the race, leaving the trails a little muddy in places, but overall the conditions were prime for a winter race. A chilly 9am start saw most riders keen to get underway and get warm!

The course was roughly 10kms in length with 285m of vertical climbing, and used Sticks & Stones as a descent, the new ‘Gunners Run’ trail, Sidewinder and the Cow Bones loop.

Make sure you keep July 21st free for the next XC Enduro to be held at Eagle MTB Park.

Parking vehicles at Craigburn

Dear members,
Due to local council restrictions, only approved vehicles for setting up the event may enter past the gate on Craigburn Drive. AMBC volunteers will keep the gate locked, so please keep in mind you’ll need to arrive extra early to walk your gear down to the race track from the car park at the Blackwood Football Club.
As always, please be extra careful to avoid all forms of litter, including organic matter such as banana peels. In future this may help to demonstrate to relevant parties that we respect the local area enough to allow access to park on Craigburn Drive.

Hammer Nutrition XC Enduro Series Race 2, Craigburn Farm, 23rd June

Register now for the Hammer Nutrition XC Enduro Series Race 2 at Craigburn, Sunday 23rd of June 2013.

Please note, there will be no on-the-day registration, this event is strictly online registration only. Registrations close the day prior at 10am.

Race sign-on at 08:15am, race start 09:00am. The winner is the competitor or duo that completes the most laps, where no additional laps may begin after the 4 hour period. Total race time is used to rank riders who complete an equal number of laps.
