Round 2 of the Giant XCO series: Flinders Uni course

The next round of the Giant XCO series is fast approaching – 14 Sep. For this round we return to Flinders Uni for what should be a fast and furious course at only 4.2km long.

For those that haven’t raced at Flinders Uni car parking is in Car Park 3, just off Ring Rd – see the attached race map or Race Location page.

There will be some trail prep followed by a juniors/beginners pre-ride happening on Saturday 13 Sep. Meet at car park 3 at 08:00 for trail marking and then 10:00 for a pre-ride.

Registration for the race can be found here. Registration will close at 10am on Sat 13 Sep. If you have any dramas registering, please email timing@ambc.asn.au.

A reminder that riding on these trails outside of sanctioned events is strictly forbidden. Please remember that our continued access to these trails for events may depend on this.

6/18 Hours of Melrose

Fresh back from a ride around Mt. Remarkable’s flowing single track and it is in prime condition for tomorrow nights midnight start. Over the Edge have been busy getting ready for this years 6/18 hours of Melrose. Plenty of entertainment planned – Live music, games and of course riding your MTB!

Entries will be open right up until 1 hour before the start time. Entries are capped at 200 and filling up fast!

Giant XCO Round 1 results are up

Preliminary results are up – click here

There was a little bit of confusion with C Grades results – the modified standings are:

  1. Adam Smith
  2. Damien Hall
  3. Geoff Luders – corrected with manual entries after transponder failed
  4. Martin Kennedy – started with B-Graders – -50 seconds to bring you back in line with C-Grade start
  5. Erik Lock

Reminder: Registration cut off at 10am

Don’t forget to register by 10am tomorrow morning for the first round of the Giant XCO series at Eagle park.

First run racers start at 9:30am. Second run racers roll of at 11:30am. Sign on opens an hour before each run start.
