Based on the weather forecast for this week (an estimated 30-50mm of rain starting Thursday and continuing til Saturday) and information received about the current state of the trails at Fox Creek, AMBC has taken the difficult decision to cancel the Hammer Nutrition 8 Hour Enduro event which was to have taken place there on 23 June 2012.
It is not a decision we take lightly, but the potential for extensive damage to the trail network over the course of an 8hour enduro in wet and muddy conditions is too great.
Bikes also take a battering during muddy races, and we are aware that not everyone has access to unlimited parts for repairs.
Watch this space for a possible reschedule of the event, but given that the XCO series commences on 22 July 2012 at Eagle MTB Park and the fact that we do not want to have to cancel it again, it may not be until later in the year.
Those who have entered already will receive a full refund.
