Shepherd’s Hill XCO & Zero Friction Cycling overall

Sheps! The Shepherd’s Hill XCO on the 25th August is set to be an exciting one. Thanks to our sponsors Hammer Nutrition, BikeCorp and Schwalbe Tyres for supporting our races!

This race will contribute to our Zero Fricition Cycling overall series, with points up for grabs for each race and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the series. Zero friction cycling’s products are perfect for MtB here in Adelaide, and we’re expecting to see more of them around! This will be presented at State XCO champs!

CATEGORIES: Self seeded, ability based categories for XC racing.

9:00am Start-

  • A Grade Women: 5 laps
  • B Grade Women: 4 Laps
  • C Grade Women: 3 laps
  • Junior A: 3 Laps
  • Junior B: 2 Laps

11:00am Start

  • A Grade Men: 6 laps
  • B Grade Men: 5 laps
  • C Grade Men: 4 laps
  • D Grade Men: 3 laps
  • (*Wet or hot weather may alter the lap count and course of racing.)
  • (**All lap counts are subject to change at any time at the race director’s discretion. All entrants will be notified.)

RACE DETAILS

  • 8:15am: SIGN ON
  • 9:00am: FEMALE + JUNIOR GRADES START
  • 10.30am: PRESENTATION (early grades) (approximate time)
  • 11:00am: MALE GRADES START
  • 12:30pm: PRESENTATION (approximate time)

PARKING

Parking will be directed on race day. Please be courteous of the park and environment.

HOUSEKEEPING

Please be mindful that Shepherd’s Hill RP is a popular park for walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and dog owners. Be respectful to the park and it’s users and represent MTB’ers sensibly!

RACE COURSE INFO

** Suggested laps per grade based on a 15 minute Elite (A Grade) lap time. This is a guide only and the number of laps is variable due to different venues and different track conditions.

FEES

$30- all senior riders

$20- all junior riders

+$25 for an MtBA day license.
