Hold on to your socks ladies and gentlemen, the latest epsiode of FatChat has just popped in. After gallivanting around the northern reaches of the state and brushing into the NT, Chelsea returned and dedicated herself to producing this issue – after eating a tub of ice cream and socialising, etc.

Hi res – to get the best of the pictures
What’s coming up? Well, a brief summary:
This weekend sees many of SAs CX riders head over to Canberra for rounds 5 & 6 of the national CX series – might not be as wet as here, but I’d wager it’s as cold! Good luck to everyone competing and I’m sure the SA crew will put in some strong results! I believe, but I’m not sure, that results will be posted on or around this page. At some point.
19th Jul – Next weekend sees the 3rd round of PACCs CX series somewhere in the parklands of Adelaide. Make sure you come along and see if you can top Andrew and Davids efforts on noise production and entertainment for the Elite grades! Click here for more info

26th Jul- The following weekend sees the 2nd Round of the GESA series head up to Eagle MTB Park with 6 stages planned for the elites, this should be a true test of the “enduro” part of GESA! For more info head over to the GESA website – click here
2nd Aug – Then we get to the first round of the Giant Adelaide XCO series which follows on from GESA at Eagle MTB Park. Eagle has always been a great race track and with its locality to Adelaide is a brilliant chance to get involved in the XCO scene. Grades for everyone! Check out the links below for more info!

Port Adelaide Cycling Club have announced their dates for the winter cyclocross series. All the information is available on their updated website – click here – the address has changed, so make sure you update your bookmarks.
The races are covered by MTBA insurance, so AMBC members can race using their AMBC/MTBA membership!
The first race in the series is on this weekend, 18th May – registration page is available here.
This is not an AMBC event, all inquiries should be directed Port Adelaide Cycling Club. This information has been shared for the benefit of club members and to spread the word about cycling events that may interest AMBC members.
In case you’re looking for some things to do this week in Adelaide, there’s a couple of cycling events on that you may or may not have heard of.
First up is brought to you by Cycling SA. Bringing to you the 2014 Cycling SA Junior and Womens Criteriums + Single Speed Carnival. You’ll notice the single speed part that may be of interest to some MTBers who own these strange contraptions. For more information head over to the info page. Entries close at 23:59 tomorrow night, so it’s time to make some brash decisions!
Secondly, in case you’re still wondering how to properly celebrate Australia Day, what better way than to rock up to a CX race on a MTB bike and show ’em how it’s done. You can pit yourself against AMBCs very own Timekeeper – I don’t have access to rig the results, so you’ll be in for a fair chance – amongst an array of other fellow MTBers. More info can be found on PACCs CX page here. Online entries close off at noon on Friday, so you’ve got more time to make a brash decision! They also recognise MTBA membership now, so get on board.
